New Hope Christian Church began in 1953 when 27 families joined together to plant this great church. They met in a storefront on 221 and by faith purchased land and built on Welcome Valley Road in 1955.

For the last 65 years, New Hope has been a church that brings hope to people throughout the Roanoke Valley. It has always been our mission to reach the lost and make disciples.

By 2019, we had experienced tremendous growth and our staff and elders began to meet to discuss a plan for remodeling and/or expanding the worship space. With kids spaces at maximum capacity as well, we prayed and planned for a space where we could host more children and more adults to gather for Sunday worship.  

After years of planning and construction, we opened the doors to our current building on September 10, 2023. It's our joy to welcome more people each week into this space to encounter authentic community and worship our Living God!

We are always praying for God to lead our vision as a community!  Our desire is to continue bringing hope to the valley by helping people meet and follow Jesus.
