What We Believe

“In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things love.”

Statement of Faith

God

God is three equal persons called the trinity: God the Father, Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. All are of one essence: eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing and loving (Genesis 1, John 1).

Jesus

Jesus is God in the flesh. He paid for the sins of humanity through His perfect sacrifice on the cross and overcame sin and death through His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Hebrews 1:1-3).

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, co-equal with the Father and the Son, indwells and empowers believers for holy living, unity, and service. He convicts of sin, guides into truth, and imparts spiritual gifts to build up the church, transforming believers to reflect Christ (John 4:24, John 16:7-15).

Humanity

Humanity is the culmination of creation and we are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-31).

The Bible

The Bible is a collection of inspired letters that reveal God's will, purpose, and plan for creation and humanity (2 Timothy 3:16).

Sin

Sin is our disobedience against God and His perfect standards (Romans 3:23).

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God to humanity through Jesus' work on the cross. We receive this gift through faith that expresses itself through repentance, confession, and baptism (Romans 6:1-4, 23; Ephesians 2:8-10).

Baptism

Baptism publicly identifies us with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).
